Caribbean Charm

Day 1.
Arrival in Cartagena.
Our travellers are arriving in Cartagena. This is where our experience begins. Our transfer will bring you to the hotel located in the heart of Cartagena, where the group will meet and get to know each other. Our “PARCERO” will explain the itinerary for the trip in detail, as well as make recommendations and provide instructions for the tour. Finally, a group dinner will be held to get to know our new travellers and kick off an exciting week ahead.
Day 3.
City Tour through the historic center and departure to Santa Marta city.
The Cartagena city tour will last approximately 3-4 hours. The tour will start in the morning (after having breakfast at the hotel) for the best weather conditions. The city tour will be led by a local guide with private transportation. You’ll visit places like Cerro de la Popa and Castillo de San Felipe, hear tales of the history of Cartagena and Getsemaní neighborhood, observe the art, crafts and graffiti and much more! We’ll finish around midday with lunch in one of our favourite restaurants, then depart at 2:30 pm to Santa Marta.
Day 2.
Rosario Islands.
To take advantage of the full day, breakfast will be at the hotel and we will depart early to arrive at the dock by 8 am. From here, you’ll take a one-hour boat trip to arrive at Islabela island, one of the most beautiful islands. This is a day trip that includes: use of the beach & facilities, kayak, welcome cocktail drink and lunch. You can also find optional add-on activities here like snorkeling, massages or even visiting other islands. We will return to the dock between 4 and 4:40 pm. The rest of the day will be free to enjoy as you desire in the beautiful heart of the city.
DAY 4.
A charming day in MINCA.
Hotel departure time: 8:30 am, with the appropriate clothing for our activities through Minca. Your “PARCERO” will provide recommendations the night before. We’ll arrive in Minca at 10:00 am for a short visit in the town before departing at 10:40 am to visit waterfalls at ‘Cascada Escondida’. At the waterfalls, we will have some time to swim before enjoying lunch. We will then have the opportunity to experience life on the oldest coffee farm from the “Sierra Nevada”, Finca La Victoria, including a walk through of their process to make the best coffee around.
Day 6.
Tubing and visit to Tayronaka.
We’ll have breakfast at our accommodation in Tayrona Park before departing early at 8:30 am for Don Diego River and Tayronaka. We’ll arrive at 9:30 am. At the beginning of the expedition, we will find a small museum with pre-Colombian pieces and ancient objects, and after, we will have a chance for a short visit with a Mamo (traditional name for the leader) in a Bohio hut. Then, we’ll take a short walk among the flora and wildlife to arrive at the tubing. The time spent tubing will vary by the level of the river. If conditions allow, we may be able to see the snow-capped peaks and ancient Tayrona terraces.
Lunch will be provided after the tubing concludes in a traditional local restaurant. After having an amazing experience in the Don Diego River, we will depart towards Santa Marta at 2:30 pm, to arrive in the Santa Marta historical centre at our hotel around 4:00 pm. We’ll meet again at 5:20 pm to take a walk around the historic center. The walk will end by the beach, to enjoy some of Colombia’s exotic fruits with a delicious natural juice while watching the sunset over the sea. The day ends with a farewell dinner at a nice restaurant because here “the Caribbean charm” experience ends and we must say goodbye. In any case, the “PARCERO” will be with you until the check out the next morning, just in case you require help in resolving any matter.
Day 5.
From Minca to Tayrona Park
